Wisconsin International Scholars (WISc) Program

Application Procedure

Thank you to those who applied to the WISc Program!

Admission decisions for Fall 2008 have been made and applicants have been informed of their status via e-mail.
Please contact us with any questions.

Applications for the 2008-9 WISc Program must be received by February15, 2008 at the address below. In addition to the application form and official transcripts, we ask that you submit one essay for review. (It should be typed and double spaced.)

Essay Topic:

Your essay should be no more than 1000 words and should focus on a) how you plan to add an international dimension to your undergraduate education and b) specific ways in which you meet the elements for consideration outlined on this website. Your essay should focus primarily on how participation in the WISc Program fits into your plans for your undergraduate years and beyond. You may also wish to address briefly how one or more of the experiences that you list on page 2 of the application form have shaped your interests and have prepared you to pursue an international component in your undergraduate career. We encourage you to give this essay significant thought and to make it well written.

• A completed 2-page WISc application form: download here
• An official high school transcript
• ACT or SAT score sheet - This can be part of you official high school transcript
• One essay
